When Cannon explains about his tendency to sleep with women who fall in love with after a night of sex, Paige makes the suggestion that she could prove him wrong. And with that, they begin a hot sexual relationship which will make them both question their ability to have a no-strings affair.
This was the first book of Kendall Ryan that I've read and I can assure you, I'll be reading more. The sex was super hot, and the love story was sweet.

Paige is the totally off-limits best friend of his sister and he has always been interested in her. Totally off-limits for three days, that's the time it took them to throw themselves into each other's arms. Apparently he's a god in bed, and women instantly fall in love with him and turn into crazed creatures. Of course, he has "an anaconda escaped from the zoo". She is an absolutely beautiful woman. The romantic adventure was inevitable.
He has an impressive physique, he is a egotistical, narcissistic and unprofessional. She is very beautiful but lacks confidence in herself, she makes the excuse of showing him that he is wrong to spend the night with him. They are both afraid that his sister will find out about their relationship and get angry. His ex-girlfriends are all crazy. These are some of the things that bother me about the book.
There are six or seven very graphic sex scenes. And so so many cliches of romance novel.
I read the reviews before reading the book. I usually start with the bad ones and see how many and what they are saying since these are the people who are trying to discredit the book, all I can say to them is you have problems understanding a plot. The biggest complaint was that Cannon was too full of himself (read that as totally self absorbed) and Paige was too into his body. Let's get real if there is not a chemical reaction with the main characters there will be no spark. Yes he did understand he was good looking and good in bed, I feel most good looking people know this about themselves this does not make them conceited. Cannon was crazy about Paige from a young age and wanted her to be with him, he did things that were thoughtful and kind. Yes they both misread external signals which caused some drama and away time from each other but well, you have to have a little of that in a romance novel. I felt like their story was very well written, the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was due to a few of the chapters that were in there while they added a little to the story all I felt it added was a few too many pages. Other then that it was a well written romance novel and I will be recommending it to others
This is the second book in the Roommates series. I started with the fourth book. They can be read in any order. They are complete standalones.
This is another sweet and cute read with very little drama. You will get some laughs also!
Cannon is another sweet and caring guy. I'm loving that the men in these books (so far) aren't over the top alphas. It's nice to read about sweet guys.
Paige is Cannon's older sister's best friend, they've grown up together. They are only four years apart. This is the first "my older sister's best friend" book that I've read. I've read a lot of my best friend's younger sister books, so this was a nice change of pace.
I will be reading the rest of the series.
I actually reread via my audiobook format on repeat for a couple of weeks and just did not bother to update my reading status on GoodReads. It is now one of my new favorites to re-read especially via audiobook!

This was my favorite of the four Room Mate series novels. I’m a sucker for the falling in love with your sibling’s best friend trope. Added to that, Paige and Cannon become roommates courtesy of the latest crazy woman that caused Cannon to get kicked out of his apartment. Paige and Cannon grew up together as well and already had a shared history, another check mark on my list of favorite elements in a romance. I liked how they were finally able to find a great solution to what seemed to be a couple of huge stumbling blocks to their ability to give their attraction a chance to go the distance in a committed relationship.
A special shout out I loved the audiobook performances by Ava Erickson and especially Jeremy York on this one. Their excellent acting choices made this a delightful listen. As I stated earlier, I completely lost track now of how many times I re-listened to this novel.
